About Us PictureShooting has always been a passion of mine. I remember first trying an air rifle when I was in my early teens, but I never realized the fun and purpose they truly held. Of course, I shot my fair share of BB guns when I was younger and graduated to firearms as an adult, but I always came back to air rifles.

From plinking to killing possums destroying my garden, air rifles have provided me with years of unmatched fun. They’re like a toy that never gets old.

I’ve tried them all: Crosman, Gamo, RWS and many other brands. Throughout the years, I’ve also realized that – well – some rifles simply do not match up to the competition. There are a lot of factors to consider from caliber size and scope to quality, eye relief and a dozen of other elements you wouldn’t know unless you were an avid shooter.

This is why I started RifleZone. Whether you’re an adult or you’re buying an air rifle for your child, I will break down several models to tell you where they excel and what I thought the manufacturer could have done better. There is no beating around the bush here. If a model doesn’t meet my expectations, you’ll definitely know within the review.

Let’s face it; no one wants to waste his or her money. Sure, you can find some pretty low-priced models with a .177 caliber, but how do they shoot? How accurate are these rifles? After you really break them in (sometimes 400 – 500 shots later), how do they perform? I thoroughly test each model to ensure that I provide a thorough and clear review.

Shooting can be a lot of fun. I’ve spent hours and hours shooting tin cans at 50+ yards and tracking down small game with a .22 caliber rifle. Heck, I’ve even tried .357 caliber models (Benjamin Rogue!) and took out medium-sized game without an issue. These are versatile weapons that will lead to years of fun if you buy the right model.

There is an entire sport behind air rifles that most people don’t even realize. It’s a way to relax, clear your mind and spend a weekend out in nature. Some people enjoy golf on a Sunday afternoon, but for me, nothing beats hours of plinking and picking off little pests roaming my backyard.
