Features

The Air Arms TX200 is an excellent air rifle to get, whether you are a first-time user who is just getting introduced to air rifles or a seasoned and experienced hunter. Air Arms is a manufacturer who has a lot of experience in the production of sports rifles particularly gas-operated ones.

Some of their models have already made their mark at world-class competitions. You can be assured that with the Air Arms TX200, you get that level of craftsmanship and quality. It’s a high-quality air rifle, just like its big brother the Air Arms S510.

The mechanics of the rifle are just of the right level. Although the weight makes it heavy to carry around, such encumbrance helps to reduce the recoil when you fire a shot. Spring-piston rifles can deliver quite a recoil, which is not the case with the TX200 as anyone can handle the drawback from firing. This also gives you better aim for a second shot, thus requiring less compensation as you prepare to acquire another target.

Air Arms TX200 MKIII Air Rifle - great to use Air Arms TX200 MKIII Air Rifle - high quality

Those who got the chance to own the Air Arms TX200, as well as critics, heaved a lot of praise for this air rifle. Not only was it so easy to use, it was deadly accurate and those who have taken the TX200 on the field can very much attest to this.

The rifle can take down not just non-living objects like practice targets and clay pigeons, it can be used against birds and small mammals. The rifle is strong enough to penetrate even the armored hide of an armadillo.

The rifle is accurate even at a range beyond a hundred yards when using a quality air rifle scope. One more thing that people like about the rifle was its beautiful appearance. The combination of the fantastic wood and metal work was almost flawless. The fish scale pattern on the right side of the stock was great while the butt pad is rubberized and also with a dark hardwood grip cap. This gave it an aura and appeal of a hunting rifle by a classical frontiersman.

There are only a few things that can be commented and criticized with the Air Arms TX200. Critics point to the cocking arm latch bumper which might break off. The dovetail grooves were noticed as too shallow while the opening of the sliding breech was too small.

The air rifle’s safety feature, the Bear Claw, requires some time getting used to it. Finally, the rifle is quite heavy.
